I don’t think he ever played poorly. He’s dependable, reliable and incredibly disciplined. But never spectacular and that’s often mistaken as ‘poor’. He can sit deep in front of the back four, attack in centre mid and right mid, offer defensive cover to TAA at right back. He’s also an excellent captain, a team player who’s never afraid to sacrifice personal glory, and a brilliant ambassador for the club.
