I thought he could have released it earlier on several occasions but I agree that he glides powerfully.

Looked good last season as a wing back, looked poor when played in a front three towards the end of the season. Has started much more brightly in the 3 in pre season and though the opposition has been poor, he looks to be learning.
Imo he will be a much better winger than Sterling. In fact, he's the most natural wide man in our squad. He doesn't have the cuteness of a Raheem, or a Lallana, but his ability to take a full back and go either side is priceless.
To me he looks like a young Cristiano Ronaldo. I say this in that he has the physical presence of him and the ability to beat players. He also needs to add end product like the young Ronaldo did. But like him, Jordan has shown that his shooting prowess is there, he just needs to pick the time when to release the ball for either a shot or pass.
The difference between Ronaldo and other players of promise (Quaresma, Nani) is that he worked like a demon in training to improve. Ibe training at Melwood when he could've been on holiday shows a similar work ethic. His family as his agents will also help him knuckle down.
He's nowhere near the levels Ronaldo hit, but he's got a good starting point. It's tougher for him to break into the side than it was when Raheem got his break, but maybe that's a blessing. I think he has the possibility of exploding talent wise this season.
Who we leave out to start this lad is a great problem to have for Rodgers.Forwards.......

If he had that brain he'd stop running into traffic. Yesterday he seemed hell bent on taking on every last opposition defender regardless of his chances. Do that in the Prem and turnover will immediately put Liverpool under pressure.Originally posted by Havors View PostThe kid is fantastic. So much more composed than sterling and a better football brain amongst a lot of other things. Let's just hope we dont have to sell him in 2 years time for £50m...

That will come in time with games. Sterling did it a fair bit when breaking through and in time did it less and less.Originally posted by redmike65 View PostIf he had that brain he'd stop running into traffic. When/if Ibe gets a steady run of starts consistently he'll have no choice but to add some variation to his game or he'll be found out very quickly. Could either be the next John Barnes, or the next Aaron Lennon.
Seems to have his head screwed on and the right mentality and team around him though, so I fully expect him to kick on and become an important player for us.

He is a big talent but he lacks tactical awareness and decision making skills and the game intelligence needs to improve a lot.Originally posted by Paul12 View PostNeeds to start delivering good balls in from those wide runs, otherwise defences will learn to shepherd him down the line
He has tendencies to hold on the ball too long and tries to dribble too many times when it would be much better to pass and move.
His ball delivery especially from the wide areas also needs to improve a lot.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

He more than makes up with those deficiencies with pace, power, control and unpredictability. Was muß, das muß.
