Have to laugh at "he's lost the dressing room" posts. If that were actually the case then he'd not be manager. No manager survives two things - internal revolt and genuine supporter rejection (as opposed to moaning on message boards but going to the game and/or buying the gear). For all the whispering by those who want Rodgers out there is no sign of either.

yeah I realised that.
I think I'm posting too much about this now. It's just miserable to see the state we have become.
6-1 against Stoke. It's still not really sunk in.Modifying post.

the fact that the team has basically laid down and done nothing for the last load of games suggests they are not playing for him. They are not listening to him and not carrying out his instructions. To say there is no sign of this is a bit odd.Originally posted by redmike65 View PostHave to laugh at "he's lost the dressing room" posts. If that were actually the case then he'd not be manager. Because I would say there are a huge amount of match going fans that want him gone
In fact I'd say the overwhelming majority of the fans that sit near me want shot of himBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

& if you've been to a recent home game you'd notice there are certainly more than a few signs of discontentWhat do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

Apparently, the team really wanted to get Gerrard to Wembley and they really wanted to win the last two games for Gerrard. They played ****! Does this mean they lost faith in Gerrard?Originally posted by bonzai View Postthe fact that the team has basically laid down and done nothing for the last load of games suggests they are not playing for him. Rodgers hasn't lost the dressing room but there have been too many distractions.Another MASSIVE game

I was replying to his assertion that match going fans showed no sign of rejecting Rodgers
When the reality is completely the opposite
Its nothing to do with whose opinions count more
The fact is in my experience that the feeling at the game pretty much mirrors the feeling in here

Ok ok, sorry. The context was a little lost on me as it seemed like you were saying that because you went to matches you had a better judge of what was going on. My badOriginally posted by Lecter View PostI was replying to his assertion that match going fans showed no sign of rejecting Rodgers

Many teams end up on the beach when they are smaller sides who are safe or if a target is missed. Its not acceptable and indeed allowing the head to drop after the Utd and Arsenal games was a disaster as Utd went 4 games (?) without win and so two victories would have put Liverpool above them.Originally posted by bonzai View Postthe fact that the team has basically laid down and done nothing for the last load of games suggests they are not playing for him. Then they need to find their voices and banners, a quiet grumble is pointless to be fair.Originally posted by Lecter View PostDo you go to the game???

I'm just not sure he knew how to use the squad at his disposal and.. in that respect I don't blame him. There is more bad than good in there. Looking at last season there were regular members of our matchday squad that I'd quite happily accept never seeing start a league or big cup game for us again. Off the top of my head that includes Lovren, Aspas, Toure, Johnson, Enrique, Borini, Balotelli, Alberto, Jones and Manquillo. I also think someone needs to take the pro-active decision to flog Joe Allen (whether Rodgers like it or not) just to save him from his near crack addict requirement to start him.Originally posted by Lecter View PostDo you go to the game???

Lambert for some reason i think would work really well as part of a two in a certain system (especially from the bench) but if he goes then who'd miss him. Moreno needed to be introduced in a friendlier manner and who knows what was going through his head with Markovic. Lucas is mega but is never fit and playing Joe Allen in front removes any ooooomph, drive and creativity from the midfield.
It's a worse squad than the Hodge's by far... and Rodger's has been there for the acquisition of the majority of it. How can a team spend £120m and subsequently need a new keeper, rightback, two centre halfs, at least two midfielders and 3 strikers the next summer?A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
