I think he'd be a good England manager

Not with his defensive weakness. I think that's even more important at International level. Its also a Cup competition format, so more like the Champions League/Europa Cup with group stages and one offs, not Brendan's strong point, in fact I think he's far less suited to the England job than anything else.
