I know it's the cesspit that is Twitter, but have a look on there and it's all out war with some fans - and plenty are ****ing destroying Rodgers over this. It's ridiculous. He'll probably be forced to come out with some sort of statement which would be unfair.
    I hope he doesn't.

There is no need for him to respond to this low-blow type of attack.

        From - http://www.kopsource.com/fans-some-of-us-are-stupid/

A photo began to do the rounds on Twitter of Brendan Rodgers wearing a t-shirt with the logo of the S*n on it. He was wearing the t-shirt as he was part of a campaign, led by that newspaper, to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer. It is an issue that is very close to his heart and they helped to raise a substantial amount.

Now I would be the first person to denigrate anybody having anything to do with the S*n – as I’m sure would all of you.

But let’s get a little bit of perspective. Firstly, he wasn’t even the Liverpool manager at the time of the incident. Secondly he was raising money for charity. Thirdly, as Brian Durand quite rightly points out, if you asked him to have anything to do with the newspaper in this day and age he would quickly decline.

So what exactly is his crime? Ignorance? He’s been educated. As have hundreds & thousands of other people since the HiP’s report was released. Good. The point of any good cause is to educate the ignorant.

But if you think sending abuse to Brendan Rodgers’s daughter over Twitter – as one person (who I won’t give the oxygen of publicity to) did – is the way forward then you’re an utter moron.
        Can't argue with that myself.

As Shaggy says above, the s*n boycott is our fight. Sure even without Hillsborough it would be right wing toilet paper, but no right minded LFC fan can expect someone, at the time completely unconnected with Liverpool (the city or the club), to act as we do. Hope, encourage, explain... but not expect. Especially when they are raising money for flipping charity.

The problem is not twitter in itself, but that the internet in general and twitter more specifically, has given every moron a platform through which to seek the attention they crave. And as with everything else in life, quite often the most idiotic and objectionable views get shouted the loudest. Still, I suppose the lack of quality control on twitter does mean it hasn't made forums, where at least the very most idiotic can be gotten rid of, completely obselete

On the contrary, I find it's the only way to make it interesting.

The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Deserves credit for making important changes that have made us better.

Don't think were playing 433 anymore more of a 4231 with both Lucas and Gerrard sat deeper with Henderson acting as the third midfield player either from the left or off the central striker.

This makes us more solid and gives Gerrard plenty of the ball and more freedom to move and create with both Henderson and Lucas there to put a shift in. downing also does a lot of tracking back and chasing which he doesn't get credit for.

For me shelvey as the no.10 just didn't work because we were constantly outnumbered in midfield and shelvey isn't ready for first team football yet.

We all hope that Suarez and sturridge can continue this partnership.

The more you see them the more you realise that the summer transfer activity was on par with the previous seasons - a bunch expensive flops

to be fair though it was a side that is going to be rarely playing together as a first 11

Borini & Allen really haven't looked like good signings. Both have to improve dramatically, personally i don't see it with either but we really need them to starting improves asap!

Thought he got the team selection wrong today ,really needed someone like Carra marshaling the defense especially with Coates starting also this persistence with Allen in particular in such a physical game were his limitations are going to be exposed more.

I think it is a bit rich to put all the blame on the young players Rogers has to shoulder some of the blame for not have the right balance in the team

I honestly think we got the wrong Swansea midfielder.

Don't blame him for that game. People have been crying about Coates and Robinson not getting games so he gave them a chance. Not much he can do about Brad Jones. Not his choice and Pepe out injured

He rested a few players and rightly so but the team out there was more than good enough. They just didnt work hard to pass and keep possession.
