We all make sense in our heads when we type this stuff out. It doesn't always register that way way with the reader though. Subtlety is lost (it happens to me a lot). We come across as argumentative. We are argumentative.

As for you, you've got a few unconventional views, and you're entitled to them. I'm not sure you are able to take a step outside your box so easily and assess the alternative opinions. You're steadfast. You defend before you engage. That results in imposing views, then friction. You're happy to be that warrior. You embrace it but the consequences are there too. You're in danger of being a stereotype. And nobody wants that surely?

They were. They're not now though and haven't been for 20 years.

Arsenal have never won the European Cup. Forest will always be a bigger club than Arsenal. I know you'll dissect my argument and come up with some fact that will render my opinion irrelevant and stupid, but winning the European Cup is a huge thing. It always has been and always will be.

Forest are a big club. There aren't many clubs who have achieved European success, there are a lot of clubs who think that they're successful that have achieved nothing.

I bear no ill towards him. Ultimately he failed at our club and he was given the opportunity to fail, and to succeed.

We parted ways. After we were within a smidgen of winning the league, which would have been almost (but not quite) as improbable as winning the Champions League in Rafa's first season.
