truth is, Rafa hasn't been a top manager for a while now (by his standards). I've watched his teams play over the last 3-4 years and they are pretty boring and not even clinical. That's five years now. Sometimes you just have to be realistic and say he's not as good a manager as he used to be.

Did he win it convincingly? It's more of a smash and grab victory rather than a progressive manager projecting his ideas and style of play on the pitch.

Saying that, he was interim for Chelsea, so my point above is moot for that particular example but still stands on the other teams he's managed since 09. I mean lets be honest, his last season here was toilet football. I think we put up with it because our love for the man but we were a sinking ship.

It really doesn't matter. Many Cup finals are not won convincingly, many are won in ET or on pens. Fact is he won it. Again. And he did an excellent job in outrageous circumstances at Chelsea.

Benitez has substance over style which wins for me every time. Hopefully BR has both.

Well he is out of CL and EL so there is no style or substance this season. They shouldnt even have got past Swansea. Sorry but their style of football is rubbish. Nowhere near LFC level in entertainment

Yes he is a legend for 2005 but lets not disguise the fact that the quality of football is dire with some top players at his disposal. Not for me and he wont be back under FSG anyway

Rodgers in the PC just been told Sherwood said he wonders if LFC can handle the pressure.

Rodgers replied by totally shrugging it off and saying "and if you've spent over £100m you expect to be up there challenging"
