I thought I read that we were laying a faster pitch this summer

****ing sick of seeing those ice bucket challenges, some do it for charity.. most use charity as an excuse & it's now turned into a competition of who's one is the best & who can be the funniest. Had to deactivate the Facebook for a week or so until it all calms down. On the newsfeed had 35 videos of the ice bucket challenge. ****ing social media, watch now all the scammer charities jumping on this bandwagon.

I suppose if we do it on the pitch, it may help create a slicker surface.Originally posted by danperkins View Post****ing sick of seeing those ice bucket challenges, some do it for charity.. most use charity as an excuse & it's now turned into a competition of who's one is the best & who can be the funniest. Sure even Samsung got into **** concocting an internet ad for the S5's waterproof capability, which in turn nominates it's competitors to do the same.
Talk about cheap......actually bandwagoning on a charitable exercise to sell a product. Can only assume the increasingly forgotten aim of the ice bucket challenge completely bypassed Samsung's PR.

The HTC One M8 will have no problems with that challenge. It's not officially waterproof but it actually is. I found this out by dropping mine down the bogOriginally posted by McDermotX View PostSure even Samsung got into **** concocting an internet ad for the S5's waterproof capability, which in turn nominates it's competitors to do the same.

There's videos online of them being left in sinks if water for hours with no ill effects.

Last season Rodgers said the mistakes the defence made where things you couldn't coach out of them, he just needed better players. Today I see a quote from him saying you can spend all the money you want but you can't guarantee anything. A worrying statement. Is defensive coaching a weak point of his and is he too stubborn to employ someone who can do it?Last edited by G; 26-08-14, 08:57 AM.

Read the article again and I've fixed the actual quote from him. Sure we have coaches but they aren't really working are they. All last season we made basic errors, that's continued this season through pre season and the first two games. It's early days for the new defence of course but that comment from him last night was strange. If Gary Neville and Carra can see the problem and say they are easily fixed with videos etc but our manager says he can't guarantee anything with regards to the defence getting sorted. I find that worrying.

well, most of our mistakes in defense are down to a loss of concentration from certain players. first and third goal last night are a case in point. some of our defenders switch off sometimes or lose sight of their oponent.Originally posted by G View PostRead the article again and I've fixed the actual quote from him. the thing with carra and neville ... well it's easy to say how it should be fixed and an entirely different thing to actually fix it. which is maybe why they're pundits
