Thanjk you.
Paul.S
He made 26 appearances in the League but only 15 starts
Based on that I'm not sure the loss of him so far this season has impacted us that greatly
I think you're right about his influence last campaign, but I'd say he looked in the first 3 games of this one like he might be a much more central figure. Our midfield has certainly suffered from his absence,
I'm not a huge fan of Gerrard - Henderson - Allen as a 3 but you would say Henderson & Allen together might well have countered the anti-Gerrard tactic employed by Villa and West Ham much more effectively than a slightly injured Henderson alone did.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

He didnt start against Southampton
Yet he started against City & Spurs
For me the pressing wasnt marvelous in the City game except for a 20 minute spell
I think people might be overplaying the impact of Allen
Saturday was interesting because Liverpool for the first time tried something different when a team man marks Gerrard
As soon as Naismith marked him Gerrard pushed up the pitch and Henderson dropped into the hole split between the centrehalves to pick up and start building
Naismith quite literally didnt know what to do because he was being dragged into areas where he couldn't spring attacks from and this left Lukaku isolated

I thought that was quite clever of Brendan
Certainly Sturridge has been a greater loss than Allen, but he was pretty good in like our only proper performance of the season so far and his last before injury... you're only ever as good as your last game on the internet

I think we miss Allen very much in the squad, he's a good option to have from the bench. I reckon he'd have started against West Ham in place of Lucas as well.

The video is on the link I posted.
To be honest I had no idea what you were on about. To phrase it the way you did "as if he has a song when Sturridge doesn't" to me means you dispute that he has a song when Sturridge doesn't.
I agree though, Sturridge is our main man now and he should have his own catch ditty by now.

Negative. It actually means "I can't believe that he (the guy who puts the cones out) has a song, when Sturridge (our star striker) doesn't".

I see no way how that can mean that, not where I come from anyway but whatever! I would phrase it simply thus "There's no way he should have a song when Studge doesn't" or "Bit mad he has a song when Studge doesn't"
Pointless this isn't it
EDIT: or "as if he should have a song before Studge"
