when we did well last year he polished his teeth, bought some fancy clothes and made himself into a football guru. this season we're dog**** so he deserves the ****storm coming his way.Originally posted by chadrtc View PostRodgers is in trouble here. as much as it pains me to think about going through another 2 years of transition, we need to move on and brendan should leave.

Rodgers will live and die on two things imo.
1. Sturridge coming back and scoring goals.
2. Getting rid of Balotelli and bringing in a striker (probably on loan) in January who's capable of supporting Sturridge and also scoring goals.
Most of the problems at the moment are because the team is completely toothless up front. That's why he's set the team up defensively playing crap sideways football.
We need goalscorers in the team pronto or Brendan is toast.

Three months after the closet title race we have had since last winning and still in all cup competitions we should sack the manager???Originally posted by alonso14 View Postwhen we did well last year he polished his teeth, bought some fancy clothes and made himself into a football guru. this season we're dog**** so he deserves the ****storm coming his way.

Pity we couldn't sack some of the 'supporters'.

Yeah Brendan should walk away, he's done nothing whatsoever to expect some leeway, best season in years, most goals, he should do the honourable thing and jack it in at the first sign of trouble. He's a ****ing disgrace alright, its like he's not trying, like he wants us to lose. Go now. Cunt.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

How soon after finishing second did Houllier and Benitez go?
I always thought Houllier stayed a season longer than he should, although I think he actually finished 4th in his final season, what we would probably term a success these days.
I think Benitez went at the right time after finishing 7th, I though he looked out of ideas by that point, and there was obviously no money to back him with.
If we finish 7th this year, I think he should probably go, although at this stage I have faith he will pull us through. Once Sturridge is fit and (hopefully) signing a decent striker in January, Rodgers will have no excuses. Hopefully by January everyone will be fit and the team will have worked its way out the continual defensive errors and sloppy passing.
Personally, I like to think Rodgers has earned a bit of time after last season... It wasn't *all* Suarez. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Calls for sacking are ludicrous this early but he will be judged in the summer on how his signings perform(mostly **** as of now) and how he deals with out of form players who he has a lot of faith in, all signs on that one point to him being stubborn.
Do we blame poor signings or do we blame the manager for not getting anywhere close to an acceptable level from players at his disposal.

If I were him I'd be more worried about the owners.Originally posted by chadrtc View PostRodgers is in trouble here. The impatient modern football supporter isn't going to put up with much more of this.

He'll last the season no doubt about it and rightly so imo. However, he isn't learning from his mistakes and as I said in the other thread he's one stubborn fecker. The wheels have well and truly come off make no mistake.Originally posted by captainfog View PostThey sacked Kenny after performing badly in the league after spending a wedge despite winning a trophy. They won't think twice about sacking Rodgers.
I'm not convinced he's going to last the season.
