He is obviously sending out subliminal messages.

Annoying me too. Almost as if he's trying to say....."Last season we did so well because I had loads of coaching time and I was therefore able to coach them to be brilliant. This season we have less and I can't work my magic on them so we're not doing as well".

He's getting the same as our rivals. Trotting this out all the time is as bad as Houllier's "we had more corners than them" mantra.

On a slightly different note, I think only Carragher out of all the media and ex-players and BR, has called our current issues correctly. All seems to be hidden behind the transfer window, but when he said we lack organisation, leadership and are mentally weak, I think he summed the current state of the team perfectly. Whether that can be turned around quickly, I am not sure

We will soon be hearing, "we had more possession than them" that we use to hear in his first six months

He might have been used to it last 2 seasons, but this is when it gets serious.

Too be honest though, most of his interviews are just him trying to fill silence with generic sentences like most other managers. Wouldn't read much into it.

              It's ridiculous it really is.

This is what we wanted, to be with the big boys. It's nonsense to suggest a lack of coaching time.

These lads are training day in day out from 9 till 5, even one days training prior to a game should be suffice.

Well, it's more like 10-12, which I've always found ridiculous. Not saying they should be breaking their balls til 5pm every day, but a couple of hours a day is a joke.

Imagine how tired Sterling would be if he did more than 2 hours a day and had to play a couple of matches a week

Why dont he up the daily training by half hour if he doesnt feel he gets enough time to coach?

The players would probably go on an official strike, instead of the unofficial one they appear to be on now

You often hear of the more dedicated players staying behind for extra training.

                              Is that all it is?

I understand they can't do too much physical stuff or risk exhaustion, but they should be getting classroom based tactical drills, reviewing video footage etc. How can you moan about not having enough time with them when they only train for a couple of hours a day?

(I realise most/all clubs probably have the same type of training times etc.).

Well.....its 10-12, then a lunch laid on for them, then a rub-down etc.

Home by 2pm, then a quick nap before they head out to the shops to buy some ivory back-scratchers and Ferraris, before heading home and not having to worry about any bills for the rest of the evening.

Yes sir, whenever I hear footballers saying 'working hard', I grab my nearest violin.
