I still don't personally know who actively wants him sacked. Lots of people (not me) are close to the edge though. His support is wavering rapidly and a couple more poor results and you'll see lots and lots of supposed Liverpool fans turning on him.

I'm with MrM, I think other than a relegation battle (not going to happen), he deserves the full season no matter what.

I think we're going to go on a decent run of results now after the International break. A few good results in a row should put us right back in it. We've been fortunate that we're not the only team to under-perform this season.

I kind of get the feeling Brendan has taken his 180 page manual and started again from page one. You can see it in the passing from the back for example and how we have difficulties creating chances during our slow build up, similiar to before Sturridge arrived. So when Sturridge recovers he could make a huge difference to the team, I'll give Rodgers a couple of months before losing my head, although I will blow a gasket here and there temporarily

BUT, if Sturridge is the key to our success I think Brendan and the board made a massive **** up in the summer by not getting Remy in or a forward of similar ilk. That's looks like a monstrous cock up to rely on a hugely injury prone player and not have a replacement for him.
      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I'm not calling for his head, but I know he's not the manager to take us forward- he isn't good enough tactically but i expect him to be here for a few more years yet.

He deserves a proper chance to turn this poor patch, the first he's had since bedding in, around; I don't understand how anyone can argue he doesn't. We aren't Chelsea or City, we need to have a long term view for us ever to get back properly to the top and that means we have to be able to show patience and perserverence.

I would honestly say that other than at threat of genuine relegation, even thinking about Rodgers' position until the summer would be verging on preposterous.

I'd like to add the players are letting him down massively.

Couple of questions about Rodgers springs to mind:

              1. Was the great exciting footy we saw last season forced on Rodgers because Suarez and Sturridge were undroppable so he had to play two up front?

              2. When it's obvious the way he's set the team up this season is producing turgid, slow boring footy (and this started from day one against Southampton when Sturridge was available and played) why is he so stubborn about not changing it (especially in league games)?

Out of interest, what has he done tactically that makes you think that?

I think for the most part he has got it spot on with that. This season aside, we have been quite an intelligent side I think.

                  The defence I expect.
                  3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Yeah, this season he has. But I think its fair to argue that it was about personell as much as tactics last season?

The defence has been poor but whilst I've been critical of the back 4 in particular we were pressing and working much harder as a side last season and defending "from the front" not sure what has gone on this season but it feels as if the players are just not following what we should be doing.

I think BR can still get us into the top 4 this feels very much like the bedding in of his first season but with a better and larger talent pool at our disposal than then.

I also don't buy into last season being all about Suarez he was amazing for us but BR certainly got the most out of him

There is too much wrong with us for this just to be bedding in issues

When you see some of the snapshots / screenshots from the weekend we look amateurish to say the least in fact "amateurish" might be an insult to some amateur teams

What are we doing in those screenshots???

They remind me of the back 9 photo from the Hodgson days
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

totally agree with all of that. He should be judged over the season in the summer. Obviously all bets are off if we do something stupid like lose 10 games in a row but that's not going to happen.

Do you know what as well, i think we are close to having some unbelievably exciting squad....loads of young players that are only going to get better and better. Origi could go on an be one of the best strikers in europe in the next few years.... Emre Can could potentially be a world beater. And the likes of Moreno, Manquillo, Sterling, Coutinho, Henderson are all babies.... same with Ibe and Wisdom.... (it's just a pity we gave southampton loads of cash)

a couple of top class additions and we are cooking on gas....

The positioning of our two CBs in that second picture is a little worrying

I'm pro Rodgers but here is something to think about -

Koeman has come into Southampton and completely changed their style of play, they don't press high anymore, in fact what they do in open play is to recycle the ball back to the keeper and start from there as he has installed several ways of transferring the ball through the thirds when they attack.

Now while Southampton don't have European football it is a new manager with a new set of players (for him) and a new style of playing.

Rodgers should be doing better, more to the point he should be braver and actually earn the money for the job he's paid to do, by that I mean he's paid to make big decisions and right now my biggest gripe with him is he isn't making any.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.
