Personally i think they'll shoot up the table soon with the players they have, but they've had a nightmare league start alright. I wouldn't be calling for Rodgers head, see how we are fixed in the new year, unless things get really out of hand & then we can go for Klopp
Not really much different to the situation we are in then. Its not long ago we finished 8th or whatever, 2nd last season. Back in the CL.

I also think we will fire up the table when Sturridge is back and things start clicking again.

Well to a lesser extent, what he did for Dortmund with Bayern being such a powerhouse was incredible... but i don't disagree with what your saying.

We have some good players, it's just up to Rodgers to find a system that suits them & address some issues in the January window. By some freaky miracle we are only 4 points away from 4th, so all is not lost yet.

I think the one positive that us fans can derive from this (and lucky for Rodgers) is that our absolute ****test period is happening during games against Real Madrid (x2) and Chelsea and an international break. Games we were never expected to win even if we played like last season.

OK, we've screwed up against Newcastle and Hull too but everyone is having those sorts of games. At least we took max points off QPR unlike some so-called champions who had a fit Suarez-like Aguero.
        One tit for another.

How do you know that this is our ****test period?

What if we went from 2nd place last season to 7th this one, would BR deserve the same fate as Benitez ?

Obviously, it's too early to be talking of sacking a manager now, but i remember so many people when justifying the Rafa sacking saying...'you can't go from 2nd in the league to 7th and survive'.

I'm not digging. Anyone who is calling for Rodgers to be sacked now is being a moron. 4 points off 4th or something? Have a word with yourself. Who do you want to come in tomorrow? Who's available? Shallwe give it to Pascoe till the end of the season? 'Kin ****ing hell, have a word with yourself.

I think anyone calling for Rodgers to go at this point is being ridiculous. After a season and a half of extremely positive performance in the role in almost every aspect, he's going through a tough period, partially but not entirely of his own making. He deserves a proper chance to turn this poor patch, the first he's had since bedding in, around; I don't understand how anyone can argue he doesn't. We aren't Chelsea or City, we need to have a long term view for us ever to get back properly to the top and that means we have to be able to show patience and perserverence.

I would honestly say that other than at threat of genuine relegation, even thinking about Rodgers' position until the summer would be verging on preposterous.

Can we have a show of hands? Has there been any actual calling for his head?

                          I've seen one (alonso14).

Plus my knee jerk mate Jesus Gil Steve who has wanted him out since we lost at West Ham

OK, one poster then. Let's not go overboard, I'm getting increasingly sceptical of Rodgers but I won't call for his head yet but if things don't pick up by january I'd take stock then, we can't afford not too IMO. That's saying things don't pick up for two months which a) would leave us in a very, very poor position, b) be a bit unlikely.

I don't want him out of course I don't and I really hope he can pull us out of this mess.

But, we're not in a great position at the moment and although we're only 4 or 5 points off the top 4 we're also 4 or 5 points off the bottom 4 so it could go either way.

I personally think he will be given the time to turn things around but if as mentioned we're near the bottom 4 come Feb/March then I think he will be in big bother and the owners will have no choice if they don't feel there's improvement in the team.
