Was good to see Carra for having the balls to say he wouldn't play Gerrard against United.
I can imagine most other arse lickers go down the route of, 'you always have to have Steven Gerrard in your team' etc.
It's a fair point though, even if you did want him in the team, nobody deserves to be dropped. Shame for Lucas too, who did nothing wrong when playing, but he won't get his place right back if Allen stays fit.

but bringing him on for the last half an hour seems ideal. He's not fit or quick or mobile enough any more to go the full 90. I like the idea of him coming on to stabilise things and obviously give us that buffer of a definite goal should we get a pen or a good chance of a goal from a free kick outside the box.
