How he basically dragged us to win an FA Cup. Or through the sheer force of determination pulled us through the Olympicos game.

None of this disrespect that people seem keen to push on him and blame now.

Im gonna miss him. He was our heart beat for the best part of 10 years.

We had none of this sentimental bollocks when we were in our pomp. The team was the most important thing then, not pandering to personalities.

Hardly pandering is it? Showing respect and gratitude?

Mind you, I remember some of your vitriolic hate towards Carragher when he was about to retire. So I cant say Im surprised.
        *Except Michael, who died.

He's been a spent force for some time and should be nowhere near the first team. His past contribution and achievements, or standing within the club should have absolutely no bearing on whether he plays or not.

maybe you are right but he doesn't deserve the stick or abuse he gets now.

Most worrying is who the **** is going to take over the captaincy...

His head went last season. The legs went this season.

Saying that, I don't think Allen or Henderson looked any better today, what was their excuse?

Poor Stevie, I hope he and his family have a great time in LA and make loadsmoney too. Club legend to the end.

The Manager should be getting the stick - it's only natural that a player would want to play for as long as possible and can't be relied upon to make an objective decision about moving on.

                            He's already made loadsmoney...

To be fair, the "get Gerrard to Wembley" movement was a success though. Now lets never play him again.
