Hope he doesn't do it next week. Leave him on for the full game. He'll get a great ovation at the end either way.

Yeah.....didn't look so bad in real-time from behind Rodgers, but that side-on view is a bit weird looking.

No doubt he'll come off and be presented some award when he does.

I rewound it a few times and came to the conclusion that Stevie went to shake Rodgers' hand with two hands, but Rodgers moved his hand up to lovingly stroke Stevie's face, and hence the handshake never materialised
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

not that it matters but nah, he refused the handshake and only went to shake his hand when he realised brendogs sweaty palms will be touching his face

Think it's a combination of things.

Getting taken off is the first and no doubt he was pissed off.

Being applauded by the Chelsea rats albeit briefly and perhaps he was somewhat embarrassed and emotional about it.

Either way it doesn't look great but he's leaving soon so it doesn't really matter anyway.

He just wanted Brendan to stroke his cheek instead, no biggie.

He clearly punched Brendan's face in after the match and spat on him as quivered bleeding and humiliated on the Chelsea dressing room floor. His doleful, puzzled eyes brimming with water, mouthing "Why?" as Steven turned his back on him and headed for the door.

Unfortunately, Liverpool lost the chance of a CL spot so we could keep Stevie's "buzz" earlier on in the season. We owed him that I guess, and more, but so, so glad we're not going to repeat the process next season.

                          I'm sure Brendan's relieved too.

I was told but never posted off a reasonably decent source....That Gerrard never wanted to leave and only left as he was told from Brendan he wouldnt be a regular and not getting offered a coaching role while still playing regular, So sure he isnt Brendans biggest fan,

Think its quite obvious Gerrard still thinks he can play week in and week out and sure he is not happy that he isnt....the reality is though think we all know if it is true Brendan probably overplayed Gerrard this season not underplayed him!!
