removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Honestly can't remember LFC without Stevie G. I'll probably get ripped for this but I genuinely think I might lose interest a little bit from next season.

How many world class players do we have left now? none
        Champions league ? nope
        Pulling power ? nope

Without Stevie I fear we might finally slide away into mid-table mediocrity

There is going to be one helluva void when he goes. Hope BR is ready for it. Next season could be a watershed moment in the history of this club.

I think we showed this season that we can actually be a better side without Gerrard (the Gerrard as he is now, far less mobile and effective than in previous seasons). And it has been shown that our midfielders seem to step up more without Gerrard around them, knowing that they have to work and can't just leave it to him.

We lose a talisman, but it might be the making of this team, and other leaders will step forwards.

When it really mattered they all went missing this season though. Let's see but I have serious reservations about their mental strength.

They all went missing, and then when Gerrard appeared, he went missing within 38 seconds

Its great that he is putting some pressure on the owners to get a striker in before he leaves.

The sentiments you're making are deserved. But the managers that got the best years out of Gerrard were Houllier, Rafa, Bodge and Dalglish.

Rodgers was left to maintain the end game and offer the most dignified way out for Stevie. The huge void Rodgers needs to fill is what Suarez and Sturridge have left us with.

I think last season Gerrard was excellent. This he looks to have tailed off and as such I don't think it will be such a watershed moment. Many players have had similar trajectory, some of which have been rejuvenated (often by moves to Italy actually - see Evra for recent evidence).

Think the void he'll leave wont just be about his football, although 17 yrs of such consistency will be sorely missed.

But with Carra gone and now Stevie, that's is 2 massive parts of what Liverpool the club is all about, gone.

He is Mr Liverpool, it's gonna be weird not having him around. I don't really have much of a connection to any of our current players, no real affection to anyone and I'll probably end up losing a bit of interest. I feel sad.
