Must admit I cried yesterday. Tried to hold it in in front of the missus but I couldn't.

Wonderful player and deserved a better send off. Part of me feels like it's vanished. Grew up watching him as we're a similar age and to see him finally go is very sad.

Anyone who know's anything about football know's that Gerrard is and was one of the finest players to grace the Premier League, league title or not. In his prime he would have walked into any team in the world, without question.

He was Keane, Vieira, Scholes, Lampard etc etc all rolled into one player. He could of left numerous times, gone on to win a lot more but what he had was a bit of class. Liverpool was his club, and he said himself winning anything anywhere else wouldn't of meant as much as one trophy with us.
