So many other great memories including that amazing defensive tackle v Arsenal at Highbury, the assist for Riise v Arsenal away also, his partnership with Torres and his goal v Utd.

Brilliant player..........for me, he won the game in Istanbul for us...not single handedly but there is only one player I know that could play centre midfield, forward and right back in a game against that brilliant ac Milan team and that is Steven Gerrard....

It is such a pity that we didn't win the title least year........and do you know what is most disappointing, when he slipped against Chelsea, there was no way he should have been the deepest man on the pitch. Chelsea came with no attacking intent....we should have just kept the ball ourselves....a 0-0 would have been grand that day.

We definitely didn't have the big game experience trying to blast Chelsea away when they were the team that needed to win.

Still haven't learned this year , that games sometimes are must not lose like the United game at home ,a draw there and we are only a point behind.

In 2006? The only game I was at Anfield (I know, I know) and it was an awesome strike. But we were so spoilt in those days I was saying, meh, I've seen better from him.

Seeing him score that header yesterday brought back memories of all his goals. Was choked when scored that.
