Sad but for what it's worth I called it first, 9th NovemberOriginally posted by -V- View PostI can't help but feel this will be his last season with us. He is out of contract in the summer and I can't see the club meeting his wage demands. He might even think its a good time to go play in Italy or Spain for a couple of years.

Please, please let that not be true.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostThe lad who told me about Stevie leaving also said the contract offered to Stevie was a joke and apparently would have put him on less than Joe Allen.
Another Scouse connection to the 'franchise' gone.
Aaaah bollocks!

Shame if we did. With all the money various people have wasted at this club, Gerrard has and always will be the benchmark for quality, conistency and value for money seeing as came for nothing, if we couldn't scrape enough together to offer him a deal that was at the very least; not a classless embarassment! then it's a bit **** imho.
Tbh, i'm not sure he'd have taken it, but still.Last edited by Vermilion; 02-01-15, 11:54 PM.

He should get whatever he wants for what he has done for this club. Id always have him as the highest earner. Anyone has a problem with it then shut up & produce what he has for us for as long as he has then we can talk. I deffo think he could be managed better by BR & the rest at the club at the moment.

To be fair when he told me Stevie wasn't going to sign and leave I didn't believe him. I spoke to him again today and that's when he mentioned the contract. He was spot on about Stevie leaving so I don't doubt his news on the contract. I hope to God he's wrong as it would be a **** way to treat Stevie after all his service.Originally posted by Lecter View PostIf that is true it's clear they weren't serious about keeping him
Carragher has pretty much intimated the club's offer be it financial, contract length or even role (lack of coaching offer) was probably a factor

Presumably we should have paid him a fortune not to play?Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostTo be fair when he told me Stevie wasn't going to sign and leave I didn't believe him.
