        Gerrard and Cole latest

        1st Dec 2011 - Latest News

Kenny Dalglish today reiterated that Steven Gerrard is making good progress in his rehabilitation - and reported no new injury concerns ahead of Sunday's mouthwatering encounter with Manchester City.

The skipper is still ruled out with an ankle infection for the showdown with the league leaders but the boss remains positive about his long-term fitness.

Dalglish told his pre-match press conference: "Like we've already said, we are delighted with the progress he's making and we've said that we won't put a date on his return - and we won't put a date on it now. We are very happy with his progress.

"Everyone is available (for Sunday) apart from Steven and Jack Robinson."
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Infections are ****ing awkward things arent they? Hopefully he's back for the CC semi, beating City at all is a big ask let alone without 2 of our best players and 3 if the FA get their way with Suarez.

That groin operation has ruined him.

Or its just the enforced rest at the right time that might see us have Gerrard playing into Giggs' years.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I hope you are right BigChief.

But if this was Champo, he'd be gone.

I'm with this trail of thought.

Everything just seems really odd; he's injured and nobody really knows the extent of the injury. Come back dates are pushed further and further back, starts cause fresh injuries and the club seem really hazy about it all.

                      A real shame.

He's definitely out of the QPR game. All Kenny would say today is he's progressing fine and not ready for the weekend.

It took my cat 4months to get over an ear infection. Gerrard has his sympathy.
