If Carroll doesn't benefit from Gerrard playing behind him, he might as well just give up. Not one of the name strikers who have left Liverpool over the years have gone on to look anything like as good without Gerrard involved. Torres and Owen have learned that the hard way. (Though Owen did do ok with Zidane
)

Good to see him back, we forget just how good and important he is.
We need to appreciate and make the most of him because he won't be playing for much longer.
