Got to feel for Kenny having hardly had a chance to use him like the last 3 managers had, the job is tough enough as it is and then Gerrard hardly plays in a year!

He looked boss when he come on, drive, composure and quality.

I hope Gerrard plays behind Carroll whilst Suarez is out.

So he could give him a good kick up the arse every now and then.

            Didn't see today's game (thankfully).

            Where did SG play?

Every time he comes back from injury he makes a difference, even for short cameos. Think he's got a couple more good years in front of him.

He was good and it was great to see him back. Thought he opted out of a couple of potential blockbuster tackles although that was probably wise.

I want him back in the team and with a licence to go forward. We desperately need his drive. **** carrying Adam's water and sitting in Lucas's absence, we need him where he can do the most damage.

Shaggs, I've no idea what you look like, but I have seen one pic, and I thought I saw you in the crowd today around the 37 minute mark when the camera scanned a couple of fans. 'You' were laughing.

                    That is all. Amen.

I didn't laugh at any point during the game today.

                      Seriously though, I didn't.

I was on telly against City though ...sticking two fingers up at Milner, and then the pitchside mic (placed directly in front of me) picked me up clearly shouting "you ****ing dirty *******!" at him

I'd like to see Gerrard in the roll he played off Torres where he was devastating. The problem is when that worked he had Xabi Alonso behind him. Adam isn't even close to being in Alonso's league Adam is very hit and miss. I had my doubts about him when we signed him, in some games I've thought I was totally wrong about him, he's a much better player than I gave him credit for. In other games he's been what I feared he'd be. I think Gerrard would be a much better player in Adam's role than Adam is, but that takes away from Gerrard's game, so I don't know where he should play.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The Alonso / Adam comparison is even more laughable than the Carroll / Drogba one.

Yep there is zero comparison. I quite like Charlie but he's extremely hit and miss - seems to be either bloody excellent or absolute ****, with no in-between. Either way though he's nothing like Alonso.
