He seems to be doing a fantastic job with Rangers, both domestically and in Europe, are we seeing Klopps successor developing? He has a 13 points lead and only conceded 4 goals in the league and topped a group with Benfica in second.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Personally I take what happens in Scottish football with a pinch of salt.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostHe seems to be doing a fantastic job with Rangers, both domestically and in Europe, are we seeing Klopps successor developing? Still far too early to say, Celtic have a couple of games in hand which means it could be 7 points really. They are still half way through the season so haven't won anything yet. Also with all due respect to the SPL the quality is nowhere near that of the PL. Even if he could get Rangers to dominate Scottish football for the ne xt few years I'd still be concerned about him making the step up. They would need to start doing something in Europe too IMO.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yep. We saw how Rodgers failed with us, then went and dominated up there with Celtic. At the same time it is good to see Gerrard doing well up there and it might well be that a few years doing well in Scotland gets him a move to a mid sized club in England. That would be a better indictator of his ability as a manager imo.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Let's say Rodgers never went to LFC. Let's say he stayed with Swansea for a few years and then went to Celtic and onto Leicester. Is it fair to say that he would be in consideration for the LFC job then if it came up??? I'm not too sure. I wonder would FSG want to go down the proven winner route having been so successful with Jurgen?
If Gerrard was to take over a club like Southampton, Leicester, Villa and done well, then would he still be suitable? Would Hasselhoff from Southampton be a consideration now??? Or would the Wolves fella?? Not too sure they would be.
I think the most likely way Gerrard manages LFC is either (a) Jurgen packs it in mid-season and he is a stop gap like Kenny was after Hodge. And does well that he keeps the gig or (b) Gerrard leaves rangers, returns to Jurgens back room team.
I'm not too sure that (b) is likely to happen unless Pep Ljinders left. And even then, Klopp would possibly have other candidates.
