Barnes will always have that special place for me because he was the best in the business when I was 10/11 years old, and football was better when you were a kid.

Gerrard is brilliant and was phenomenal. He's probably the best all round player the mid twenties to mid thirties generation of fans have ever seen play for Liverpool.

Kenny Dalglish just wasn't relevant to us really, because we weren't around to appreciate him. He was the manager for me growing up, not the player.

The best LFC player for me, without a doubt.

Potential will only get you so far, though, and Gerrard has reiterated his belief that experienced players of the highest calibre are required if Liverpool are to re-join English football's elite.

Gerrard told the Sunday Mirror: "In general, I like the direction the club is going in, but the harsh reality is that we still need two or three big players who can help.

"We were short before the last deadline and I think we struggled to find consistency because of that."

I don't think to the same level but certainly the rash challenges would have been slated.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
