I think if he misses two games the other players will lose a slight edge. Just a presence around Gerrard at the moment. The desire to win the league in him probably eclipses any other players in our team. He knows its probably his best chance

Of course he is. His leadership now is absolutely crucial to us IMO. He's more important to the team in these next 5 games than he's ever been for us. Without him in a tricky game I fear we might mentally crumble.

He's the man who carries the supporters' will to win onto the pitch as a captain and supporter himself

He's been awesome this season. It might even be his best ever season, particularly from a team perspective.

Our best players are always vital to have available, but we've seen occasions before where others have stepped up their game when Gerrard hasn't been available, and I'm sure the confidence in the team is just bubbling.

That said, you can see how much this run-in means to him, and if we need something in this game, he's invariably gonna deliver it.

He is the man. The pressure in the next 5 games will never have been experienced by the majority of our players. Gerrard is bringing it in bundles of late. If he isnt on the pitch then I think the pressure of the situation could tell on some players. Every player must be totally inspired by playing in the same team as him and will remember what he has given this club and how much he deserves the title. He has to play the next 5 for us to have a chance
