How long until we see Steve in a thawb and shemagh, on a camel, with a hunting falcon on his arm.

I'm not going to get into the moral aspects of the move, as it's obvious he's done it for the money.

I wonder if he thinks he can do a couple of years out there, and still bag a job in the Championship after. He'd be 45 years old by then, so still relatively young, but would need that next job to work out, otherwise, he'd be well and truly finished.

                  Gerrard on Al Ettifaq move.

"When I went to Saudi I got a real family feeling. It made me actually feel welcomed," Gerrard told Al Ettifaq's Twitter account on Sunday.

"There are three things I always consider in order -- it needs to be right for my family first and foremost. We have to be excited and motivated by the challenge.

"Secondly I think the football project needs to be ambitious, it needs to be for the right reasons, and then of course you need to feel secure with the contract, but this comes at the very end."

Yup. Even Keita going on about how he came back to Germany for the project. If the project is coining it in then fair play.

Did Naby not take a HUGE pay cut?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
