I don't think we need £20 million players as such, we just need a couple of quality players not necessarily for massive money. Shrewd business is called for in January. Their are quality players out there that don't cost massive money and its about time our scouting department got their finger out of their arse and found us some gems.

Dont need a new CB or LB, only need 1 winger and possibly a striker.

Gems tend to be young. Young = un proven. Un proven player who have come to LFC tend to turn out ****e. We have signed to many players who have fallen into this category over the years and it really hasn't paid off. Big money needs to be spent IMO on a couple of players.

BUT, maybe Comoli will be able to find some gems for us: a new perspective.

FWIW, I don't think we need a new centreback. But everyone on this forum thinks that Carragher is finished and seems to think the ever reliable Agger is our future.

Personally, I think Aurelio is finished. There was a reason why Rafa let him go and only a man as stupid as Hodgson could bring him back.

I rate Insua highly by the way and wish he was still here.

We can't rely on Aurelio (sadly), PFK is utter wank, which leaves us very exposed.

Personally, I'd have kept Insua in the summer and bought someone good! Still Hodgson knows best.

I think we need a left back, FA is injured too much to fill it regularly, Can we bring insua back?

CB JC should be rested more or sold if we get a new strong manager, Soto not sure good enough to be a regular, Skrtel has question marks too. Agger brilliant but injured too much . Maybe one of our youngsters is good enough. but think we need another CB

Its not top of the list but there is no way we can consider a chatge for the top 4 ( under a new manager) with PFK and Aurelio as our left backs.

Insua cost us goals last year and PFK is worse, Aurelio is made of glass. We need a new lb to be challenging top 4 imo.

Hypothetically, if Aurelio could stay fit for 3-4 months, we could be ok.

I reckon Kelly could easily do a decent job there too.

Between the two of them, i think we'd get by.
