Yeah I never understood that either, he was supposedly cold, distant etc but thats the complete opposite of his personality and in training pics, new signing press conferences he was always having a laugh and a joke, he's good with people. I dont think you win what he's done without being able to man manage.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostThat Torres statement shows what a load of old bollocks the perception of him being a bad man manager is. When he had to man manage, he clearly did. Torres isn't the only one to talk about him like this either.

Absolutely. It also is a reflection of the lack of critical thinking and actual reporting in the British tabloid like sports media. Stereotype a person then stick it even though there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostThat Torres statement shows what a load of old bollocks the perception of him being a bad man manager is. Rafa could be cold at times but at the same time he knew how to manage committed professionals. When Rafa does not praise a person, it is because he is cold. When Ferguson does not, it is because of the famous hairdryer bollocks.
Every characteristic of Rafa is the exact opposite of what is reported in the press - charming, intelligent, witty, passionate, caring, emotional (support for HJC) and watch him interact with the LFC fans - he is a total fun character to have around.

nah it just proves torres is a fickle person, they made their peace once he left but he wanted him out or out himselfOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostTorres was one of the most often named players when people talk about the idea that Rafa 'lost' the dressing room. This quote proves that wrong.

Then Rafa was out, and.....Oh, Torres still left.Originally posted by Liverpool View Postnah it just proves torres is a fickle person, they made their peace once he left but he wanted him out or out himself
The only players Rafa lost were Gerrard and Carra, and once that happened it may as well have been the whole side.

He's a proper Rolls Royce of a manager, and when he had players to match his ability (08-09) we ****ing nailed it. Sigh
