Leaving's for the best, but other than him not being nearly good enough (and he really wasn't), I don't think there's much negative to say about him. He was actually pretty active when he was on the pitch I thought, but in a way reminiscent of Hendo in his first year or two here - a lot of running but somehow never really influencing the game with it. It was a matter of being out of his depth, not really a lack of effort. But BR's been pretty clear that he's been a model professional and he clearly gives a **** (his sideline celebrations for Fulham away). It was a bad transfer, they happen, but Iago seems a good guy who'll do well in a midtable Spanish side and I hope he does. Maybe back to Celta.

Next year with CL football will be different - players, especially Suarez and Sturidge will be rested, so a third and indeed fourth good forward will be needed.

Meh. Some players need to play every week to get form together, unfortunately he's not going to get it here because we have 2 of the top 10 strikers in the world.

I think it's certainly best for everyone that he moves. Although given we paid £7.5m I don't see us getting anywhere near that for him.
