I'll be astounded if Aspas turns out to be better for us than Borini or Ngog.

Of course, I'd love him to develop into 20 goal a season striker, but I haven't seen enough evidence for that. A bit like the other two I mention, his biggest problem so far appears to be getting into goal scoring positions. And if you're not doing that, you're not gona score many goals.

I honestly don't think he is a goal scorer... he seems more of a out and out floater, sorta like a link play man... but heck sorta doesn't fit into this BR model or doing things so wondering why we got him in the first place... but i do believe he has the attributes to adjust in the and as Tee says rightly, there are better options in our team right now and time is not a luxury (again not Aspas fault he was bought into the team) and that is what is irking me, some of the comments directed at him so early on is a little bit OTT, personal opinions aside...

that's fair enough, and i have admitted that i know i may be being a bit harsh on him especially when usually i am one to defend our players to the hilt.

however you say 'granted he's no suarez' - but i was never expecting him to be, i was hoping he'd be a decent squad player and be around the level of Milan Baros - which i reckon would be a pretty fair 'marker' to set for Aspas.

But he'll get nowhere near that imo. In fact he doesn't even look like a squad rotation player at best. Which for me, for a 26 year old pro, is worrying - it's not like Borini, who looks out of his depth but at 21yrs of age he's still got time and early promise on his side, plus the fact he's moved about 10 times in two years at his age can't help.

Also i'm not suggesting because of his age Aspas should settle straight away or anything like that - I am suggesting tho, being 26 and having just had the best season of his career he should be hitting his peak and despite the move would show something but he's that far off the pace at the moment that's actually more of a liability.

again i do understand it's a harsh early assessment on my part but I hope i am being a bit more er, 'qualified' in my assessment if you like by giving reasons instead of just being
