I fear he's another Agger. Seems to pick up injuries at the drop of a hat. Would be tempted to cash in but I doubt we'd get our money back. Good player that he is, if these injuries keep occurring then its a problem.

                  season over

We are doomed to rarely put out a first 11, always compromise because of injuries/suspensions.

Every game we manage to get 11 out on the pitch

Very true, but never what I would say first choice. (Although my first 11 will be different to everybody elses)

No fancy holidays and private jets for this lad.......unlike a certain someone

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho is in Senegal distributing free food and drink as part of his charity work.

Many Premier League footballers come under fire for their off-the-field activities but while some of his team-mates are currently sunning themselves in luxurious resorts, the Frenchman is giving a helping hand to citizens in the country of his parents birth in west Africa.

Sakho’s personal charity ‘Amsak’ has been giving out several tons of rice, sugar and milk food products in Tambacounda, the largest city in eastern Senegal.

The 25-year-old was present himself to help distribute supplies and while he was there he also met Senegalese president Macky Sall to present plans for a sports and cultural centre to be built in Tambacounda.

Last season Sakho taught Merseyside schoolchildren French as part of the Reds community work, saying it also helps him to learn English.

Sakho became the youngest ever captain in Ligue 1 when he skippered Paris St Germain aged 17 years and 8 months and he joined Liverpool for £18million in September 2013

He's the new Dirk, with this charity work.

I love it when footballers are good blokes rather than being on the general c***ery spectrum.

So hard to trust charities and their 'admin'. But since Sakho is keeping an eye where the money is going I'm keeping Amsak in mind.
