It's a ****ing joke. Preferring Lovren is one thing (and that's ****ing mental - Lovren has been better but still an accident waiting to happen and was poor in the first half tonight), but to prefer Kolo on the bench is absolutely taking the piss.

I'm sure there's a valid reason, and it won't be because he thinks Kolo is a better player. Last season was proof of that as Sakho always started ahead of Kolo.

As for Lovren starting, the defensive unit looks quite sound so I can't say it's wrong.
      Forwards.......

The defense didn't look sound to me TBH!

Although we do have two clean sheets so I'm not going to jump up and down in a rant.

I can see accidents waiting to happen though!

Rodgers would undoubtedly point to two clean sheets, but in no sane universe is Lovren better than Sakho.

I really don't like being a doom-monger but it feels a cast iron certainty that Lovren will put in a 4/10 at Arsenal next week. He's not really faced anyone yet - and Mame Biram Diouf doesn't count. Good players destroy him. If he plays well and we get a result I'll bare my arse in the meat aisle at my local Morrisons.

I just pray to God that if he does leave, then it is only on loan because if Rodgers plans to build a defence around Lovren then it will be interesting to see how the new manager uses Sakho.

Or Sakho plays against Arsenal and you can bare your tits in the fruit and vegetables aisle.

Maybe Lovren is playing against the easier opposition to get his confidence up?

But why isn't Sakho on the bench at least? Rodgers is living pretty dangerously IMO.

Funny one with Sakho surely it's an injury

Why don't people wait for a reason? People end up looking like dickheads when a reasonable explanation comes to light.

Maybe, hopefully it's an injury but there has been no mention of it and it's the second week running where we have Kolo on the bench.

Must say I am concerned despite the clean sheets

A decent team will rip us a new one imo

The Sakho baby reason doesn't wash for me, wasn't the baby born before the Stoke match?
