He's excellent. Doesn't roam forward like ball playing centre backs like Agger or Ferdinand, but his passing is superb and always has been. Sees the right pass all the time. He can be a bit sloppy at times and a he needs to be careful. He needs to stay fit now.
    Are we winning?

I and others have laboured the point, but his fizzed forward passes into feet are really important to getting us going. He hardly ever punts it. I honestly think he's one of the very best centre backs in the league. There's not a lot of competition but he's right up there.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Glad to see I'm not alone & it's not meant to be a slight on Agger either. But I do think his passing is better as in a 9 out of 10 compared to an 8 or even 8 1/2 for Agger. Agger looked more silky than Sakho on the ball which gives you more confidence I suppose. Both are great passers & Sakho's heading ability is right up there too.

Agger was better on the ball, a better dribbler of the ball and a better passer of the ball IMO. And by quite a distance IMO.

Sakho is pretty dreadful with the ball at feat with regards dribbling, but his passing is good, just Aggers was fantastic. Stats can say anything you want. If a player only ever shoots from five yards he will score with a higher percentage of shots and will have a better shot on target ratio than if he also shot from 20 yards. Wouldn't make him better or worse, it would just be a pointless stat.

I've never said Sakho is bad at passing. Just that it was something Agger really excelled at

I agree that Agger was better on the ball & dribbling but that's it for me. Sakho's range of passing & the amount of good balls he plays exceeds Aggers efforts IMO.

Sakho is better at driving the team forward, there was some stat about it and he was just off the charts, he passes forward and finds teammates, far more useful than dribbling IMO.
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

There is something about the way he is on the ball that doesn't look right or comfortable, but I think when you get past that and watch what he actually does he is very comfortable on the ball he just has a somewhat unconventional style
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think Sakho is a better passer from CB positions but Agger was more accomplished moving into midfield.

Before any claims are made for him I think he needs a proper runs of games. He does look a cut above though.

Agree with that Dave. I'd prefer a passer than a mover as if you then loose possession once you've moved into midfield you've left a gap for the opposition to exploit.

He's first thought is always looking for a pass to get us on the front foot. I'd much rather that and the risks that come with it then somebody who just hoofs it out of play and hands possession back to the other team every time.

                      He's brilliant.

He's the Ashley Williams Rodgers wanted him to be.

And the one punt he did do lead to a goal.

That wasn't a punt, obviously higher risk going long but he played that ball looking for
                            Benteke

Long balls, short balls, medium length balls, mixed up during play they're all good, neither on their own would be a good plan for any team imo.

We seem to have a good mix of all the above under Klopp, which for me is the correct way to approach a football match.
