To be fair, he's only worth what someone is prepared to pay, and we are not in the strongest position negotiation-wise, other than the term left of his last signed contract, given his lack of first team participation and, frankly, the common knowledge that our manager doesn't want him.

20m would be a good return, but would probably need a bit of competition to reach that, and the clubs aren't falling over themselves for him so far.

I'd say his valuation has tanked along with his reputation. £20m isn't much these days. On form, with the right attitude, he's worth £50m probably, so he still represents a decent gamble for someone IMO.

I think since Klopps come in this has stopped. Some of the fees for our cast offs has been miraculous!

I reckon Palace might go for it towards the end of the window. Big Sam will be looking for a defender and Sakho could make a difference there. Or Swansea.

A loan move to either of those with an automatic "you have to buy for £20m if you survive relegation" clause might make most sense all round.
