Interesting to see Can say that as a team we were "too scared" during the set pieces. He's certainly not afraid to call things out when they need putting right. He's a natural leader and we should give him the £80k p/w that he's after.Comment

Been critical of Emre Can for a while but he's been really good the last few months, has picked his game up massively. I mentioned the other day he is one of the few that actually give a **** and he has fight in him.

The thing with Can is that even when he isn't on top form he never hides and always gives the team some guts. He isn't a mentally weak pussy like so many others. I'd be gutted if we couldn't pin him down to a new contract.It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.Comment

need to sort out that contract asap. If he played for another premier league club then we would spend a fair whack trying to attract him and would probably spend a fair whack on wages too.
