to be fair to Can.....he's had his share of injuries and not a consistent time in the team.

That's the key - an injury free run of games and he looks as good as we remember, people were writing him off and prepared to let him go on the cheap.

Sign him to a long contract and he'll be an excellent player for us.

I am a huge fan of Can and he had a great game today, but Gini did an amazing job in covering the spaces he vacated in the second half.

Gini's pace is seriously under appreciated. He was covering space opened up for Sterling when Can pressed/carried the ball higher so well, and Sterling isn't the type who you want running into space as we know.

Nice dilemma to have but Henderson for me at the moment. Can was outstanding yesterday but he needs to keep it going and show it more often. I think that injury we didn't know about was obviously affecting him but Henderson is genuinely excellent imo. They both have trouble with niggling injuries so perhaps we can give them a similar amount of game time. Lallana and Gini have the other slots nailed imo.

We need a bit more cuteness against the lesser teams. Can is usually good against the big teams but Hendo's delivery might make the difference going forwards.

As for Can he has shown what he can do,but hardly enough to merit a pay rise...needs more game time and higher levels of consistency
