I also just feel he will eventually make it big.

Looking at Chelsea & Lukaku, Pogba & United and it's clear sometimes that young talent isn't always given the time to develop even when highly rated.

You could also argue that with Coutinho when he was at Inter, madness they let him go, he's still got a way to go but the Coutinho of Liverpool in recent years is big step up from the kid at Inter.

I'd keep Can but we still need another midfielder. Preferably someone better than both Can and Henderson.

He clearly isnt ****. He was pretty much the best player in that Juventus side of the last couple of years. He's been ****e for Utd. But he isnt a bad player at all.

I've no idea how good he is, but i do know that to come up to the standards of what he gets paid and how much he cost, the next 4-6 seasons need to be Suarez/Ronaldo/Messi'esque.

He was never the best player in the Juve side, I don't think anyone would claim that, in fact he was never the best midfield player. He'd score the odd worldy but Vidal was miles ahead of him in pretty much every sense, his brand carried him. But yeah I agree, he isn't a bad player but he's not a £90m player either.

He's got more potential than Henderson and has a more complete game.

He also has a rare trait for a deep lying midfielder, the ability to burst forward (he's not slow when he gets going, just in terms of acceleration) and score the odd goal.

It's not been a great season for him but he's still bagged 4 goals and is still so young.
He needs to play to develop though and he won't when Henderson is fit / we sign someone better.

He's decent for sure but not a specialist at anything. Can't see how he fits in longer term.

And from what I gather he's wondering that too..

He's **** considering how much they paid for him, he's been atrocious for them this year and he has **** hair too.

You missed my original point though. Regardless of your opinion on Pogba, United made an error letting him go because they then had to shell out to get him back. It would have been so much easier and cheaper to have ensured he stayed.

Chelsea did the same with Lukaku. He never got a real chance there and now look at him, consistently banging in the goals season after season.

They'll have to shell out 50 mil plus to get him back if they want him.

But to convince them to stay the clubs would have had to play them, and neither were probably ready to play for their respective clubs each week.

In Pogbas case yes but even then they could have just been sent on loan or told to shut it and stay.

We can say now with the benefit of hindsight that both clubs didn't do enough to keep them because if they had of known the future neither club would have let it happen.

Chelsea also did it with De Bruyne. I know he had a tiff with Mouriinho but what a stupid move that was.

Pogba left on a free though, he refused to sign a new contract. Juve only paid around £800k of a compensation fee.

Most over hyped player since Mairinello (showing my age there)

Watching him the other day, Making a run wide left, ball comes in to him perfect pace & height, no player within a few metres of him and and he totally miscontrolled it.

Always looks like he's struggling to get to grips with the game.

£100 million, nah maybe £20 mill, he's obviously not a bad player but definitely not top drawer.

I'd have Can over him any day
