I think the way peoples opinions of Henderson have gone up and down is instructive in his case.

I was looking forward to seeing him play further forward this season and think he’s done reasonably well, but definitely looks much better in the holding position.
When he receives the ball deeper he has the instinct to turn forwards with it and get us attacking quicker.

i would much prefer can to be the deeper player than henderson.

        just let forrest gump run

I know he's a favorite on here and I've got a bit a stick in the past for saying this but I do think Emre was a bit over hyped by LFC fans. This season IMO he really seems to have regressed. Within Klopp system, players need to release the ball quickly, it's imperative especially during a transition & for me that is Can's biggest weakness. He either puts the down and loses possession or he is so slow to release the ball that it kills any attacking impetus. It's so frustrating.

He does work so hard and gets stuck which I like, although he can be a bit headless on times, he also has a good long range of passing. He's still young enough to improve and does have some talent ... i'm just not sure at the moment he is good enough to be a starter. Then again, I can see his development being stunted even more by not playing regular football. Difficult situation for him.

He's got some good attributes but the problem with him is he doesn't really have a particular role, I think that if he did we would see a better more consistent level of performance from him. I think that he has struggled at times this season because of this.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Que a £1 offer or loan bid.

No doubt they'll double his salary and offer him a 4 year contract as long as we release him for free AND we pay that contract in full while he's playing for them. :slap:

Word has it he'll replace Khedira so Juve can keep their arrangement of paying half a midfielder's wages in hair gel.

Yeah he's having a poor spell but we've seen how good he is when he's on it.

The problem with Can is he picks up niggling injuries and has not shown or been able to show any consistent good form....

Consistent form I think is the key here. He can clearly hit the levels we want. But he cant do it all the time. But that has taken Lallana a while, hes late 20s now.

I think we would be crazy to let him go, but clearly he needs some work at this point. Klopp is a good coach though, so Im not too worried about him.
