His discipline, effort and shape were exemplary. No one else has said it so I will, it was a world class display.

Been up and down this season, lot of people have mixed feelings about him. He's young and has time but was sensational tonight. Let's not get ahead of ourselves and just hope he can turn into a top player for us. Building up and over hyping young talent is a trademark of ours.

He has had more ups than downs since joining us though, and for such a young player he has shown a lot of leadership qualities along with the ability to put in big performances in different positions.


Of all the young players at the club I think it is fair to say that Can is the one least likely to disappoint after being built up.

Looks leagues ahead of Henderson at the same age and already looks far more like a leader on than pitch than Henderson does at 25 going on 26.

Even if Can does not progress any further in terms of ability than the level he is at now but just becomes even more consistent, then he still ends up being a very good player.
