71 international goals, at nearly a goal every other game.
For the record, his World Cup finals goals were against.
3 v Saudi
1 v Rep of Ireland
1 v Cameroon
2 v Costa Rica
2 v Ecuador
1 v Argentina
1 v Australia
1 v England
2 v Argentina
1 v Ghana
1 v Brazil
Thats some record. No player scores that many tournament goals without having real quality. I think they were all scored within the 18 yard box, but he was a class poacher.
For the record, Ronaldos goals were against:
1 v Morocco
2 v Chile (1 pen)
1 v Holland
1 v Turkey
1 v China
2 v Costa Rica
1 v Belgium
1 v Turkey
2 v Germany
2 v Japan
1 v GhanaModifying post.

I know his records but he never played for one of the top clubs or dominated in the Champs League - also didn't he score 4 in one game vs The Saudis.
He's like the anti Messi - superb nationally but so so at club level
Miroslav McKlose
I've always liked him. He just always scores goals.
He did win the League twice with Bayern.Modifying post.

I don't doubt that Klose was an excellent player but for me not elite level CF - think of when he was at his peak in the mid 2000s you had Ronaldo, Raul, Henry, RVN, Eto'o, Batistuta, Owen, Fowler, Suker, Vieri, Del Piero, Rooney, Zlat, Larsson, Crespo, Drogba, Torres, Shevchenko - any of those would have been at bigger club sides than lazio where he spent a lot of his careerOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostNo, he's not at that skill level, but he was an amazing goalscorer.
