I'm strangely excited by him (not that he'll be an exciting type of player). I guess it's that whole unknown quantity thing and the limitless potential.

Just searched myself. A lot on twitter and quite a few forum sites quoting it.Originally posted by Reece View PostI've only seen it on Twitter and I've struggled to find a proper article on it, but a quick search on there of "Emre Can Alder Hey" shows lots discussing it. Would be an odd one for someone to make up!

Not sure, I remember reading somewhere that Dirk Kuyt gave away 50% of his salary to childrens charitiesOriginally posted by Reece View PostYeah in the grand scheme of things it's probably not a massive amount for him, but I can't imagine most do this (or maybe they do and we just don't get to hear of it).

Had his own charities setup as well from what I remember, and done it being a very nice and likeable guy. Dedicated a lot of time and money, both himself and his missus.
Unlike a certain other cunt and his PR team...........Dirk doesn't like to talk about it.

Sami Hyypia says Emre Can will have a great career at Liverpool FC
Liverpool FC legend Sami Hyypia says he was delighted to see his former player Emre Can make the switch to Anfield - and believes he can have a long and successful career for Brendan Rodgers' side.
Hyypia managed Can during the two's time together at Bayer Leverkusen and believes that the Turkish-born player has what it takes to make an impact at Anfield.
20-year-old Can moved to Liverpool for almost £10m on Thursday having agreed a deal with the club in June.
Hyypia said: "Emre is one of those players that always gives 100 per cent on the pitch. He is a very dynamic player and he is quite mature physically as well.
"He is quite a technical player and he does the simple things perfectly, with 100 per cent concentration, and I think he will have a great career at Liverpool.
"With the work ethic he has, I know the Liverpool fans will love him. He needs to make this next step forward in his career and Liverpool is a great club for him to continue to improve."
The now Brighton manager says that Can has the physical qualities to compete in England's top flight and will be keeping an eye on his former player's fortunes.
He added: "He's also very skilful and he can play it very simple. I think he suits the Liverpool style of play and physically he can compete in the Premier League for sure.
"I was very happy for him to see him sign for Liverpool and I'm looking forward to watching him in the Premier League."I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?
