Terrific player. Injuries are the only thing which will prevent him from being one of the best in the prem IMO.

Looked a little (very little) crestfallen when the MOTM was given out by the interviewer to be handed to ... Coutinho. He's a good lad though. I was happy Rodgers got him in the summer because he was an ideal fit for Rodgers' style.

Finally bearing fruit and will do next season too.

I thought he was brilliant today, had some seriously good movement in attack and created a lot of space for Sterling and Coutinho to work in. Huge credit to him, and for me only Coutinho were better on the day.

That finish for his no goal was splendid although I was dirty on him for being so lazy to get back onside. It was only after 8 mins so tiredness wasn't a factor.

He's a very good player, but lacks the nip and acceleration to be a great one. It's the main reason why Coutinho is more effective.

Fantastic squad player though. He really does have a touch of class about him. That finish for the first half offside goal!

Agreed if he had another yard of pace he would be world class

He is stiil an extremely good player and is justifying the fee spent on him

I think Lallana can get even better and is still getting used to his teammates, still taking one too many touches at times. Once he learns to pass and move more, he'll be a bigger player for us.

Him and Coutinho struggled together at the start of the season, often occupying the same space and passing sideways to each other. But now they're such a dangerous pairing, both with their own unique offerings that its hard to drop either.

Sterling with his pace has to play too so that leaves Sturridge on the bench for me.

I think I need a lie down. I've just condemned our long-awaited saviour to the bench.

Absolutely no way for me. We need a striker on the pitch because Sterling is many things but an instinctive goal scorer he isn't. That 3 man attack of Phil, Adam and Raheem is lovely to watch but I don't think it has quite enough goals in it. Obviously they can all chip in with goals and we'll win lots of games because of them, but they are very wasteful and with a few games under his belt Sturridge will give us pace, skill and finishing.

For me, Coutinho and Sturridge start every game now and I'd have Sterling on bench. He played better today, but he's not been in very good form for a while now and I think a few sub appearances might take the pressure off and allow him to get himself back into form.

I agree, would have Coutinho, Lallana and Sturridge. Sterling could always fill a wing-back role too.

Options, which is great to have. Hopefully next season we'll add a few more of similar quality and be able to rotate properly.

                                Slowly we're getting there.
