    Slowly we're getting there.
we've found out that we need to have options to rotate, but it's looking good upfront though, Sturridge, Sterling, Coutinho, Lallana, Ibe, Markovic with Origi coming in soon.

Maybe we don't need another striker if we get Ings in. These guys will only get better and more used to each other. We should look at prioritizing other positions maybe.

With the exception of Markovic, it's a good list. But we definitely need another quality striker and move on Lambert and Mario.

Turns out Adam Lallana covered the most ground against City with 11.9km, Joe Allen 11.6km, Jordan Henderson 11.4km. Hard working individual.

That 3 man attack of Phil, Adam and Raheem is lovely to watch but I don't think it has quite enough goals in it. Obviously they can all chip in with goals and we'll win lots of games because of them, but they are very wasteful and with a few games under his belt Sturridge will give us pace, skill and finishing.

For me, Coutinho and Sturridge start every game now and I'd have Sterling on bench. He played better today, but he's not been in very good form for a while now and I think a few sub appearances might take the pressure off and allow him to get himself back into form.
Since his January break, he's played 5 league games, scoring twice and assisting 3 times. The only game he wasn't involved in a goal was the 0-0 against Everton. Factor in the goals against Chelsea and Bolton in the cups and I'd say he's in decent enough form for us.

I think the thing is he's not a natural striker and it shows, despite his pace and movement working well. Much like Sakho with his passing Sterling is a much better striker than appearances suggest. I do, however, think that we would benefit from having a genuine striker on the pitch at times.

Sturridge hasn't looked quite match sharp in the appearances he has made since coming back but I would be looking to get him into the team ASAP. Sterling of Lallana is the sort of difficult call that our managers haven't had to make for a while. It's nice to see a genuinely competitive squad (albeit with a few weaker areas).

Less nail biting when he's playing because he'll always hound his man. As will Coutinho, Markovic, Sterling, fck me how do other teams cope against us?

This is one of the things about him I was going on about before he signed; along with great technical ability he is an extremely hard worker which is just what players need to be in Rodgers' systems.

As has been pointed out already he does lack that searing pace which most modern attacking players need to be absolutely top class, although his intelligence does make up for it somewhat. I also slightly worry about his overall fitness, he rarely completed 90 mins for Southampton and hasn't many times (or played many consecutive games) for us either, plus he does seem to pick up niggles quite often, but overall he has a real touch of quality and I think we'll see much more from him over the next few seasons.

For me, Sterling starts every time, but I suppose the advantage he has is that he can play in various positions and with Ibe’s injury I wouldn’t be that surprised if we see him at RWB for a match or two.

Watched his non goal again several times last night. Touch and finish were unbelievable.

However, the effort he put into getting onside (he only had to take a couple of steps) was non-existent...poor show, Adam!

He's been making a lot of poor final ball decisions and has not been performing anywhere close to his previous high levels.

That flick/touch for Sterling just before HT. Deserved a finish.
