Any improvement / alternative over the current ****e we are being peddled and I would consider it

I would even play Sterling up top alongside Mario but apparently that isnt worth considering because Sterling hasnt played as a forward. However playing a striker who doesnt play the lone striker role well upfront on his own is worth persisting with

Its ****ing crazy, almost as crazy as suggesting we try something different no matter how radical it might seem. You know managers sometimes try strange things like playing a target man out on the left in one of the greatest midfields ever seen or like playing a leftback, upfront as a striker and making him the most expensive player in the world

Nothing will convince me that trying alternatives will make us worse than we are now

that is what i would have done against chelsea. Get sterling up front in the classic "henry" role - attacking very high up the pitch coming in from the left wing......with Moreno and Can behind him on the left side of the pitch, i wouldnt have him defending at all in LFCs half of the pitch (except set pieces) and have him on the left hand side of the half way line ready to be our counter-attacking outlet at all times..... i think this might have worked if we had Lucas anchoring the midfield with Can and Henderson in front providing energy and with Gerrard behind Balotelli and Sterling..... Gerrard, Henderson and Can providing late runs into the box when sterling is on the march...

In reality, we were one-dimensional against Chelsea. People go on about the hand ball (i actually think we should have had 2 penos) but for me, we were jammy with our goal, couldnt hold onto a lead for more than 5 minutes and never looked like troubling them. They looked like they had another 2 gears if they needed it...

I'm in a bit of a negative/realistic mood, and whilst I'm at it, I thought I'd bring Lallana up.

Of all our summer signings, he was the most wanted man from what I can gather. He seems to be a perfect Rodgers signing and is of the right age and right experience level. When we bought him, I have to say I wondered where he'd fit in when everyone was available, but I fully expected Rodgers to have a plan for where he'd be.

Now I'm not going to say Lallana has set the world alight, but in comparison to the performances of others, his have been right up there. I just can not see why this lad is not getting more game time. He should be in the first XI. in my mind he's more a goal threat than any of our other players at present. Yet he's always the one being dropped or left out.

I think recently Rodgers even said he wasn't being left out because of his performances, but because he didn't fit what he wanted. In my mind, this is where Rodgers is starting to unravel.

This defensive game being sent out is a bloody killer to watch & as shown against Sunderland & Basle, in two games we should be winning, it was a complete and utter failure. I daren't check the stats, but I know we haven't averaged more than a goal a game at Anfield. And we've lost as many games as we've won.

All that, and the star buy of the summer, who has performed to a decent enough level, can't even get a game on a regular basis. Ridiculous.
        Forwards.......

It's one of many strange things Rodgers has done this season. He simply doesn't know what to do with the players we have.

apparently has been nursing two broken ribs but is keen to play against Utd.

So you reckon he's not playing because Rodgers doesn't rate him?

I was just kidding Bob.. i have absolutely not idea why Rodgers isn't playing him. To be honest I don't think Rodgers knows who to play or where to play them.

                  And my tree is hideous

Why the **** was he taken off today???????

Was by far our most threatening and creative player.?

Rodgers treatment of Lallana is baffling, how he got subbed today or pretty much every game he's started is beyond me. This lad is a top notch player with creativity, skills, touch and most importantly game intelligence yet we treat him like he's got leprosy and then we have **** like Joe Allen that's untouchable.

Lallana would be one of the first names in the team sheet for me. Industrious, hard working, flair. Cracking little player.

                              Agree with all of that.

He'll be on the bench at the w/e.
