I would even play Sterling up top alongside Mario but apparently that isnt worth considering because Sterling hasnt played as a forward. However playing a striker who doesnt play the lone striker role well upfront on his own is worth persisting with
Its ****ing crazy, almost as crazy as suggesting we try something different no matter how radical it might seem. You know managers sometimes try strange things like playing a target man out on the left in one of the greatest midfields ever seen or like playing a leftback, upfront as a striker and making him the most expensive player in the world
Nothing will convince me that trying alternatives will make us worse than we are now
