He was a good player for Southampton but he hasn't come close to replicating that form for us, most of his good play is done defensively which isn't what you want from an attacking midfielder. I wonder if we should play him as full back

yeah this isn't knee jerk but I'm pretty done with him. His end product is so **** it's unbelievable. It's actually ridiculous how bad it is compared to his initial work ethic/approach play. Time to face reality but he shouldn't be long term first choice as much as I like him

I wouldn't say this applies to just the midfielders, you could argue this is the case with the entire team.

Coutinho aside who doesn't get as many as he should there are no real goal threats in midfield. Our play may now be high energy but is still very one paced.
