Welcome to the Big Pond Suarez. Hope all your dreams come true...while you keep getting subbed before the unsubable Messi and a costly Brazilian. Its hard to keep scoring 30+ goals when your mind is constantly occupied about when you're going to get subbed for Pedro yet again.

Barca score 5 goals and Luis Suarez got the sum of fck all to do with them. One pass to Messi (yes the man he has been INSTRUCTED to always to pass to) assist. That was it.

Guess who was subbed off? Suarez, guess who for? Pedro. Guess what Pedro did? A great one two with Messi and also a goal of his own.

I'm going to enjoy this thread for as long as I can, i.e. until Suarez finds his form. Which will hopefully be never and he comes begging to come back here.
    One tit for another.

Good.......got rid of him at the right time.

We've been going from strength to strength ever since.

Didn't. He left us regardless of how much we begged him to stay and finish off what we nearly achieved last season.

        The quitter can rot.

I don't get your enjoyment of his (very relative) suffering to be honest. He didn't do a Torres to us. Why the teen angst?

I want him to do well there. He deserves to be a success there.

              I'm ambivalent about him tbh.

It's early days of course, but it's interesting how many strikers who have hit the highest of heights with us have struggled once they've left.

Rush, Fowler, Owen, Torres and now Suarez.
              Oh I don't know.

He's up against it for me. Barca are a fading force. He's a periphery figure for them in many ways. Our whole team was built to get the best out of him. He'll never have that at Barca.

I'm fascinated to see how he gets on there, but I feel to wish failure on him is harsh given how much he gave to us. That's all.

I was torn about him when he was here.

Sure, he was the best player in the league and we miss his ability now.

But he's also a bit of a dickhead who dragged us all through the mud time and again, and was only available for 3/4 of the season through sheer stupidity.

People complain about Balotelli being an idiot. Suarez is worse. But he's an infinitely better player so people were more inclined to defend him to the hilt. I think that was regrettable.

Are we a worse team without him? Undisputedly. Are we a better club without him? Undoubtedly imo.

So yeah, I don't miss him, and I don't particularly give a **** about what he does next.
                  Oh I don't know.

Think Real Madrid would have been the team that he would have hit the ground running in. If they had sold Benzema last summer and upgraded to Suarez, then I think it would have been a better fit in how the front three would have lined up and meshed as an attacking unit.

Suarez with Neymar and Messi does not work quite as well in my eyes as the workrate of both Messi and Neymar is lower than that of Ronaldo and Bale, so Suarez has less chance of a fellow attacker busting a gut alongside him than he would have had at Real.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I sort of hope he does well there so he doesn't get sold off to Chelsea next year.

He needs to be the centre of attention and wouldn't get that at Chelsea. We were the pinnacle of his career because we cherished him. One day players might realise this and stay with the club which makes them a star.

I wish him all the best but know that he'll never hit the heights in terms of adoration again. To him though, he's playing on the biggest stage and so I hope he's happy regardless of being a bit **** or not

Only difference is he is not a cunt and I would take him back in a heartbeat.

Perception is a funny thing! Why do you detest Torres so much, but Suarez you hold in the highest regard?

Not meaning to have a go here, just trying to figure out the differences between them. Arguably Suarez tried his damnedest to bugger off to Arsenal - they just didn't offer what we thought he was worth nor go about it in the correct fashion with their +£1 bollocks.

Torres, meanwhile, stuck it out when all around him the crown jewels were getting sold off, ok he stopped busting a gut for us but he didn't do *that* much wrong while with us. Yet he's still thought of as a weasel.

I've always thought that's Tee's irrational hatred of Torres was hilariously OTT. Like a scorned lover . But then he is a devoted worshipper of the Bender clique, so what did you expect?
