Nice little cameo for the lad yesterday although was hoping he'd get more minutes; guess he's a little behind the rest in terms of fitness
Played one through ball that was class - here's hoping to big things from the lad
Roberto Firmino scored a hat-trick as a number of Liverpool first-team players clocked up minutes in a behind-closed-doors victory over Welsh outfit TNS at Melwood on Monday.
Those who had not featured from the start in the season opener against Stoke City were involved in the practice match today as they continue to build up fitness and sharpness.
The Reds line-up claimed a 5-1 win, with summer signing Firmino bagging a treble and Danny Ings – from the penalty spot – and Lazar Markovic also on target.
There were starts for Adam Bogdan, Emre Can, Lucas Leiva, Alberto Moreno, Divock Origi, Jordan Rossiter, Mamadou Sakho and Kolo Toure at the training base too. What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

I thought he looked good for the few minutes he was on, with him being a little behind in terms of preseason, training and not having played with the lads much he was never going to start yesterday. Maybe if we had got the goal a little earlier he might have come on sooner. Hopefully he will get longer against Bournmouth next week. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I wonder if these closed door friendlies will be a feature this season until the cups get going. Rodgers has said he can play two different teams so he'll probably want the 'cup' team to build its sharpness before September. First league cup game is 6 weeks away with the Europa starting the week after.

Whatever 'it' is, he's got it.
Seen a few people saying he reminds them of Suarez and I can defo see that. He somehow ends up with the ball after it ricochets of his/the defenders legs 17 times. Great balance and technique on him.Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge

Suarez-lite is how I think of him - same sort of street football mentality. Not as talented obviously but with comparable work ethic, quick feet and brain.
