Thanjk you.

he's certainly an odd one, but his record under Klopp is good. People from other clubs who just watch MOTD thinks he ace and most who watch 90 minutes scratch their heads
Firmino also harries the opposition defence a lot leading to us gaining possession high up.
I think he's more essential to the way Klopp wants us to play than Coots.
I agree. I am excited to see how he is this season.
Yep, it's mad anyone looks at Coutinho and Firmino and sees them as the problem! Far bigger problems up top last season were Sturridge being injured, the raw Origi, Benteke playing, Lallana not scoring many.
Once Benteke was dropped, Origi became boss, Sturridge was back etc our goalscoring was fine. 41 goals in our last 19 league games is brilliant. Hopefully Mane improves us further and if we can tighten up at the back with Matip, Karius etc we'll be nailed on for top 4 and more. Anyone who wants to stop us scoring in a game this season is going to have to perform amazingly.
I'm looking for them to make the step up, and become top class (moreso on Coutinho's part). Coutinho needs to learn to become great at coming inside and influencing play, rather than the inconsistencies we see time and again. Firmino needs to run those vertical lines into the box, and beyond the main forward (when he's playing as a No.10). I think Gotze can do this already, and more, which is why I was desperate for us to get him.
Mane's directness will help the pair of them in terms of making space for them to exploit. I see Firmino more as a Kuyt type player, but with less pressing, and more reliance on positional awareness. However, if we're to become a top 4 team, I think we need him to become more involved in the game.
I guess though, that any critique of either Coutinho or Firmino will be frowned upon, so this will be the last I say about them on this forum.

Why? It's an open forum and you're hardly the only one that criticises them.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Have to agree with that. I think Firmino is the better player. Coots for all his brilliance can be very wasteful.
He needs to do more, get involved in the game play, because games do pass him by. In the Milan game, he made more vertical runs, but last season, he hardly did that. Maybe having more of Klopp's tactics implemented this season will help, as he likes his players to bomb forward in numbers, which will suit Firmino to the ground. I don't see this world class player that people think we potentially could have. I wonder if his name is a contributory factor to it. I see a decent player with scope to becoming better, but not a top 10 player in world football.
We can't go into this season with Coutinho and Firmino performing at the same level as last season, if we want to progress. We need one of them to make the step up.
I agree about Firmino, he does often come a way with a goal or an assist but also he loses the ball and then doesn't have the pace to get it back straight away. In Germany he looked faster. It's bizarre though because even within games he will do something brilliant and then the next minute he fails to control a simple pass.
He does put in a shift though and always positions himself well around the box, on the whole he is a decent player but nowhere near world class and to be honest I doubt he will ever be.
His lack of pace may be what leaves him to be left out sometimes. I feel klopp likes the idea of 3 fast players who can press behind the central striker and in this regard even lallana is a fair bit quicker off the mark.
